Step 2: REQUIRED heartworm test between Monday and Thursday week of clinic. * see details below
Step 3: Bring dog and heartworm tests results to Make Up Clinic for:
ProHeart12 injection + 6 months of Flea Prevention ($50*)
Notes: 1) ProHeart12 is for dogs 12 months or older. Dogs under 12 months will receive an age appropriate alternative. 2) ProHeart12 is a weight based injection. The cost for XL dogs (90 lbs or more) is $80
Must use a Heartworm Test voucher with a partner vet BEFORE Make Up Clinic
Heartworm Test Vouchers!
To visit a Make Up Clinic, dogs must have a negative heartworm test at a partner vet clinic that was completed within four days (Monday - Thursday morning) before the Make Up Clinic. We offer vouchers with two partners - NOLA Animal Clinic and AllStar Animal Clinic. Vouchers are good for a discounted $15 heartworm test. You will receive your completed test results, which you will need to save and bring to The Inner Pup, so that you can get a ProHeart12 Injection
All appointments made using this voucher are for heartworm testing only and are not eligible for full veterinary services.
In order to ensure no one accidentally gets a voucher outside of the approved window for testing, please email us at info@theinnerpup.org or text us at 504-321-3442 to request a voucher for the clinic of your choice and confirm the date you will be visiting!
Vouchers can be used Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 2 PM and Saturday, 9 AM - 12 PM at NOLA Animal Clinic in New Orleans East. No appointments - walk up only.
The cost is $15 for a Heartworm Test (no additional fee should apply). If you so choose, you can purchase Heartworm/Flea Prevention from NOLA Animal Clinic directly, however, please note that this will be NOLA Animal Clinic’s prices, not TIP prices.
Appointment only (no walk ins). Call AllStar Animal Clinic at 504-483-2224 to make an appointment. Please mention that you are a TIP client with a discount voucher when you call.
The discount voucher is for a $15 Heartworm Test, however, please note they charge a $5 biohazard disposal fee, so the total cost to you will be $20 with cash or $20.40 with card.
